Simon Stribling

An Australian Trumpeter,Saxophonist,Clarinetist and Tromboninst.

Started playing at the age of five.

In 1984, Simon furthered his trumpet skills under the guidance of Reg Walsh at Melbourne Grammar School.

While at Melbourne Grammar, Simon played in the Concert Band, the Brass ensemble, the Symphony Orchestra and the school’s ‘Big Band’.

He then played regularly in such bands as the “Black Adder Jazz Band”
and has since gone on to become the leader of the world renowned “Fireworks Jazz Band”, formerly “Hotter than Six”.

The band has played in Japan, United States,Europe etc.

Formed band “Society Four” in Vancover,Canada in the year 2000.

Simon’s music idols include Louis Armstrong, Coleman Hawkins, Benny Carter and Bix Beiderbecke.
